Stephen Bonshak, 87, of Walnutport passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital- Muhlenberg. Stephen and his wife, Betty L. (Ludwig) Bonshak celebrated 63 years of marriage in June. He was born April 20, 1926 in Catasauqua and he was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Yuschak) Bonshak. Stephen worked for the Morning Call for many years, prior to that he was employed at the Fuller Company and Graver Trucking. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St Johns United Church of Christ, Whitehall. He was a life member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post # 4714 and Fullerton American Legion Post # 367. Survivors: His wife, Betty; sons, Stephen M., and his wife Sriwai, of New Castle, DE, Thomas W., and his wife Linda, of Whitehall; daughter, Jill L., wife of Warren Killen, of Coplay; sister, Anna Mae Pierson, of North Catasauqua; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Stephen was one of 13 siblings and he was predeceased by six brothers and five sisters. Services: Memorial services will be Friday, November 8, at 12 noon in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call Friday, 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
