Although my encounters with Mr. Brinson over the years were few, it is safe to say that he was a smart southern gentleman. He had a good heart and seemed to take a genuine interest in the lives of the people around him. I'm happy to have had the opportunity to get to know him.

Before Lewis, Jr. left ECI (in Twin City), he was a classmate of mine. All of our class thought very highly of him. He was very kind and considerate - even as a teenager. My prayers go with his family.

I remember warmly Lou Brinson as a young Baptist pastor in Dooly County. He was very kind and encouraging to me and I admired his interest and investment in his community and church. I'm comforted by the Psalmist who said, "weeping endures for the the night, but joy comes in the morning."
