George A. Crawford, Jr.
October 7, 1928 - August 27, 2014
Warner Robins, GA- George A. Crawford, Jr., 85, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 27, 2014.
George was born on October 7, 1928 in Cordele, Georgia to the late Franklin Alvin and Emma Catherine Hobby Crawford. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base after thirty years.
He called Oakland Baptist his church home and was a past deacon there. In his spare time, George enjoyed time spent with his family, fishing and yard work. He never met a stranger and always enjoyed meeting new people.
His parents; two brothers and two sisters, preceded him in death.
George's memory will forever be treasured by his devoted and loving wife of fifty-eight years, Annie Mildred Crawford of Warner Robins; sons, Alvin Troy Crawford, George Allen Crawford (Carolyn) and Walter Gary Crawford (Lori), all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Heather, Bryan, Samantha, Ben and Hannah; and many adoring nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 31, 2014, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with entombment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
