Horace "Buddy" Caldwell
August 26, 1937 - November13, 2013
Eatonton, GA- Horace "Buddy" Caldwell, age 76, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013.
Buddy was born in Macon to the late Woodrow Caldwell and the late Kathleen Adkins Caldwell. Mr. Caldwell was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he was a member of The Rangers and where he was begrudgingly stationed in Alaska. He was a retired truck driver with Yellow Freight Systems and a former Shop Steward for the local Teamsters Union. After his retirement he settled in at Lake Sinclair where he loved to hunt and fish with his childhood and lifelong best friend, Thomas "Bud" Cannon.
He is survived by 2 daughters; Bonnie Chafin of Dry Branch and Nikki Caldwell-Sessions (James) of Haddock, 3 sons; David Caldwell (Connie) of Selena, MO, William "Buddy" Caldwell (Candice) of Gordon and Josh Caldwell of Milledgeville and 1 step-son, Ken Dugger of Crestview, FL, 7 and ½ grandchildren, a sister, Joyce Sryock (L.A.) from Macon and 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his two loving wives, Catherine Caldwell and Jo Anne Caldwell.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday November 16, 2013 in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at Crest Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 pm.
