John E. Jackson, Jr. of Warner Robins passed away April 4, 2014 at a local hospital after a long illness. John was a long-time resident of Warner Robins and a graduate of Warner Robins High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Viet Nam War. John was awarded a Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster for injuries received in Viet Nam. After his return from Viet Nam, he was employed by the Bibb Manufacturing Company until his retirement.
John is survived by his wife, Jane Barton Jackson of Warner Robins, son Kevin P. Bradley (Heather), grandchildren Kayleigh and Patrick Bradley, sister Ernie Hendrix and special Brothers-in-Law Gene Hendrix and Barry Barton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha H. Salter, and father, Rev. John E. Jackson, Sr.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
