Raymond Thomas (Tom) Olmer, Jr.
MACON, GA- Tom Olmer, age 68, passed away February 17, 2013 at Pine Point Hospice in Macon, GA, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Greensburg, PA, and raised in Norvelt, PA. Following graduation from Saint Vincent College, he joined th U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant. He obtained a Master's degree from Purdue University and a Master's degree from Georgia State University. Tom worked continuously in various healthcare management positions until his retirement as a Sr. Vice President with Central Georgia Health Systems in 2004. While employed at CGHS, Tom was active in both civic and service organizations, including Kiwanis, where he served as both President and Lt. Governor.
He is survived by Wife, Andrea Brown Olmer; Stepdaughter, Katherine Limer; Mother, Doris Kull Olmer; Sister, Nancy Cisick and her husband, Andy Baumgartner, Augusta, GA; sister-in-law and her husband, Jill and Keith McCrary, Albany, GA; Aunts, Pat Olmer and Lorraine Kull; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held privately in Greensburg, PA.
