Msgt. Warren "Lenny" M. Lanier USAF (Ret)
June 23, 1943 - May 24, 2014
Warner Robins, Georgia- Msgt. Warren "Lenny" M. Lanier USAF (Ret) passed away May 24, 2014 suddenly. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 5:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Reverend Mike Slade will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 4:00PM to 5:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Ga War Veterans Cemetery in Milledgeville GA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Helping Hearts at Second Baptist Church 701 Sandy Run Road Warner Robins GA 31088.
Mr Lanier was born on June 23, 1943 to the late Daniel and Lillian Lanier. He served our country proudly in the United States Army where he received many commendations including two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. He later retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years. Later in life he went to work at Robins Air force Base with civil service where he also retired. He attended Second Baptist Church, was a member of the American Legion and also a member of the Romeo Club.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty years Brenda Lanier of Warner Robins, Son Max Lanier (Lora McDonald) of Decatur, Daughter Jennene Lanier of Warner Robins, sister Joyce Pennell of NC, two grandchildren Daniel Ellis of Warner Robins and Conor Lanier of Decatur as well as many special nieces and nephews.
