Macon, GA- Services for Willie Harvey Collins, Sr. are 12:00 PM Tuesday, March 25 at St. Matthew Baptist Church with burial in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.
Born to the parentage of the late Lint and Ella Hill Collins, he was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a bus driver and courier for the Bibb County Board of Education and was a state certified barber for most of his adult life.
Survivors include: a devoted wife of 36 years, Lillian T. Collins; children, Otha C. Johnson, Angela C. Tate (Robert), Willie H. Collins Jr, (Ida), Frederick J. Collins (Sharon), Reginald P. Collins; stepchildren, Dr. L. Octavia Tripp, Rodney D. Tripp (Ethel); brother, J.R. Collins (Elizabeth); two sisters, Otha Finney (late Jeremiah), Retha Huges (Edward); 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
