BUTLER: Forrest "Roger" Fout, 77 of Butler, was delivered into the hands of his Lord and Savior, Saturday February 8, 2014.
The son of the late Howard and Mary (Eisnaugle) Fout, Roger was a graduate of Butler High School. He soon after joined the Air Force where he served his country proudly.
Roger worked as a well tender for Columbia Gas Transmission where he retired. He was an active member of the Greer Wesleyan Church. A caring man, he helped numerous people in their time of need while volunteering at the Worthington Township Fire Department. Roger enjoyed dining at various local restaurants and could often be found socializing at The Whiffletree in Butler. He was an avid fan of the Clear Fork Colts sports teams attending games often.
Celebrating his presence in their lives, he is survived by his daughter Nellie L. Roper of Mansfield, grandchildren Brianna Gary, Dante' Roper, Shawn Roper, and Julian Roper of Mansfield; brothers Wayne (Naomi) Fout of Perrysville, John (Marilyn) Fout of Butler, step-daughters Barbara Fowler of Columbus, Suzella Weatherbee of Mansfield, Elizabeth Williams of Chandler, AZ; nephew Mike Fout of Butler; neices Jenny(Kevin) Carr and Jody Fout all of Butler and numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, numerous aunts and uncles and his nephew Rodney Fout.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 4-7 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. Calling hours will continue at the funeral home, Thursday from 12-1pm, where funeral services will begin at 1pm. Burial will follow in Zion Four Corners Cemetery, where military honors will be performed by the Bellville American Legion Post #535.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Clear Fork- Butler Adult Life Center Nutrition Program or Worthington Township Rescue Squad may be made through the funeral home.
