Gladys Irene Beaver

BUCYRUS: Gladys Irene Beaver, 92, of Bucyrus, formerly of Mansfield, died Friday, January 31, 2014 at Altercare of Bucyrus. Born October 22, 1921 in Washington County, OH, she was the daughter of Charles Russell and Susannah (Agin) West. Gladys was a model for Dutchmade Clothing as well as for numerous other places including The Waterford. She retired from Ideal Electric after 24 years of service. After retirement, she moved along with her husband, Donald to Florida in 1977, only to return after 30 years in 2007. Gladys was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed gardening and farming.

She is survived by her children, Jerry (Loretta) Beaver, Sr. of Mansfield, Thomas (Glenna) Beaver of Otto, NC, and Lana (Ernest) Mulvaine of Bucyrus; grandchildren, Thomas (Robin) Beaver of TN, Susan (William) Hunter of OR, Carolyn (Billy) McCoy of Lakeland, FL, Laura Taylor of Port Richey, FL, Joann Snell of Crestline, Jerry Dale (Lynette) Fulwider of Cable, OH, Kelly (Tina Hyer) Fulwider of Bucyrus, Jerry (Cerila) Beaver, Jr. of Wichita Falls, TX, Stacey (Tim) Arnold of Mansfield, and Anita (Jimmy Howe) Beaver of Shelby; 19 great grandchildren including, Tyler, Kyle, Audrey, Abigal Gladys, Kierstyn, Kalysta, Kara, Ashley, Aaron, Megan, and Lindsay; five great great grandchildren, including, Cody, Lucy, and Andrew; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Donald A. Beaver whom she married on July 17, 1939; granddaughters, Lana Ann Fulwider and Mona and Robin Beaver; great grandson, Robert Beaver; great great grandchild, Kennedy Beaver; two brothers; five sisters; and special friend, Violet McClure.

Friends may call Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Christopher R. Thomas. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the or Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Funds.
