Jack Forest Leffler Sr.

MANSFIELD: Jack Forest Leffler Sr., 89, of Mansfield, died early Saturday morning, August 30, 2014 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. He was born March 9, 1925 in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Grace Miller Leffler and Phillip Leffler.

Jack was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII . After the war, he worked at Mansfield Tire and Rubber Co. Later, he worked for John Hall Distribution for 26 years and owned Office Cafe for 20 years until his retirement. Jack was a member of the Owls, Eagles, Sons of Herman and VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Smith Leffler; son, Jack Leffler, Jr. of Mansfield; and sister, Maxine Frye of Mansfield.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery with military honors presented by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
