Judith Parker

SAINT AUGUSTINE BEACH, FL: Judith Parker of Saint Augustine Beach, Florida died on April 5th, 2013. Judy was born December 5th, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born to Dr. Hall and Kathryn Wiedemer.

She grew up in Mansfield, Ohio where she graduated from high school in 1960. She was a 1964 graduate of Northwestern University and the school of speech. She earned her M.A. in counseling from Governors State University in 1978.

Judy was a successful educator and agency leader in the public sector field of senior services. She taught in schools in Chicago, Illinois and Ann Arbor, Michigan. Her greatest professional joy was her role as Director of Eastern Will County Senior Services in Monee, Illinois; an agency she served from 1980 until her retirement in 1995. Her work provided transportation, warm meals, social interaction, and other support for hundreds of senior citizens primarily in the communities of Monee, Crete, Peotone, and University Park, Illinois.

Judy is reunited with the love of her life, Russ Parker who preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by her children, David Guritz and Matthew Guritz; daughters- in- law, Kimberley and Rita Guritz; step-children Nancy Parker Neff, Linda Crank, Bonnie Norton, and Virginia Winter, beloved brother, Dr. David Wiedemer; and her precious grandchildren, Michael, Zachary, Rachael, and Joeseph.

A private Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held in Illinois.
