Paul Richard Martin

WILLISTON, FL: Paul Richard Martin age 84 of Williston, FL passed away on January 31, 2013.

He was born on September 8, 1928 in Danville, IL to Joseph and Reva (Emery) Martin. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He moved to Williston, FL in 1971 from Lantana, FL was of the Baptist faith and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland, OH. When he was younger he worked at his family's restaurant called Martin's Drive-In in Wooster, OH from 1952-1953. He also owned and operated Martin's Auto in Williston, FL in 1981 along with owning and operating Martin's Trucking Co. In his spare time he enjoyed truck driving, being outdoors, farming, fishing with his kids and grandchildren, meeting new people, old cars, and piloting airplanes; but most of all being with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 58 years Vera "Jane" Martin; sons, Joel Martin (June), John Martin (Amy); daughter, Jodi Heckmann (Adam); eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren with one on the way.

Visitation for Mr. Martin will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 12:00-2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Morriston. Funeral service is to follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Keith Stewart officiating. Interment will be at Orange Hill Cemetery. Fellowship will follow at Joel & June Martin's house.
