Robert K. Jolley

MANSFIELD: Robert K. Jolley, 80, of Mansfield, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at his home. He was born May 23, 1933 in Mansfield to the late Clarence and M. DaLee (Kiley) Jolley who preceded him in death.

Bob graduated from Mansfield Senior High class of 1951 and served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean war. On January 20, 1962 he married Drucilla Banta. Together they enjoyed many years traveling and caring for their children and grandchildren. Bob worked 25 years for the Mansfield Tire & Rubber Co. as a Cost Accountant, Programmer Analyst, and Manager of Data Processing. He then spent 16 years as a Programmer Analyst and Manager of Systems Development for Sprint in Mansfield.

Bob was a member of Venus Lodge #152 F.& A.M., Mansfield Chapter #28 RAM, Mansfield Council #94 R. & S.M., Mansfield Commandery #21 KT. He also served as a Committee member and Treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 104 for several years. In addition, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church serving as an Elder and Deacon and a member of the Stewardship and Finance and Properties Committees. He was most recently a member of the Linden Road Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Wendy) Jolley of Mansfield and James (Courtney) Jolley of Annapolis, MD; daughter, Susan Jolley (Brett Keetle) of Mansfield; grandchildren, Andrew, Camron, and Grayson Jolley, Olivia Haller, and Tucker Keetle, all of Mansfield and Declan Jolley of Annapolis, MD; sister, Lois Cairns of Mansfield; sister-in-law, Evelyn (Richard) Durkin of Huron; brothers-in-law, David Banta of Melbourne, FL and Jack Hammett of Wood Lake, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Drucilla Banta Jolley on November 26, 2009, sister-in-law, Judith Banta Hammett on December 19, 2011, and brother-in-law, William Cairns on March 30, 2013.

The family with receive friends Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Linden Road Presbyterian Church, 160 S. Linden Road, Mansfield, with Pastor Andrew Gearhart and Rev. Dr. Faith Proietti officiating. Military graveside services conducted by the U.S. Navy will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. The family requests memorial contributions may be made to the or the Linden Road Presbyterian Church.
