Carol Ann Tabarracci Obituary
Carol Ann Tabarracci Johnson Was born to her wonderful parents Fredrick and Etta Lue Tabarracci in San Francisco, June 6, 1959. The Tabarracci family moved to San Anselmo and for fifty five years Carol lived her life to the fullest, enjoying, laughing, and loving everything and everyone in it. She passed away peacefully on July 11, 2014 after a short stay in the hospital. When Carol was young she helped anchor the Tabarracci household by caring for her two younger brothers, Mike and Matt while her parent were working. Carol attended Isabel Cook, Red Hill and then Sir Francis Drake High School. Carol attended College of Marin briefly; however the working world took precedence, and early on she worked in many fields. While a young woman, Carol lost her father Fred and she returned home to be with her mother Lue. Many of you will remember the two of them working at the Gold Nugget Diner for many years. In the late nineties Carol met her future husband Steve Johnson and after a brief courtship they married and Carol became part of Steve's family with two young girls, Anna and Sarah. She shared in raising them, along with their mother Marsha Jones and her husband Kevin Shine. While living in Terra Linda, Carol went back to College of Marin to pursue her dream of being a Pre-School Teacher. She worked at Marin Day Schools in San Rafael for 12 years where she probably spent the happiest years of her life. We are saddened by our loss; however being blessed by sharing in her life, all of us are enriched by her unique ability to make every person she knew feel special. Carol is survived by her husband Steve, daughters Anna and Sarah, mother Etta Lue, brothers Michael (Jenny) and Matthew (Christine), nephews Keith and Dante and the Guisti and Serchia families. The Memorial Rosary/Vigil Service is 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Monte's Chapel of the Hills, 330 Red Hill Avenue, San Anselmo. The Memorial Mass is 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 97 Shady Lane, Ross. Assisted by Monte's Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo (415) 453-8440
