David A Leith It's been a year since David left us, but he is always within our hearts. Born Nov. 5, 1940 to John and Helen (Creasar) Leith, Worchester, MA. Passed away on April 4, 2012 after a gallant battle with Parkinson's disease. David attended Williston Academy (swim team) and South Hadley H.S. (Senior Class President). He graduated from UMass, Amherst, with a BS in Chemistry. He was a member of the UMass swim team and TKE fraternity. David went to Naval Officer School, RI, continuing on the swim team. He was a LT JG, stationed in San Diego. David was a Director of Sales (South America then Western US/ Canada) for Thermo/Applied Research Laboratories. David will be remembered for his wit, devilish smile and his wide circle of friends that extended from college summers on Cape Cod, OCS and the San Diego "Rat Pack". Once retired, David and his wife of 28 years, Pam, divided their time between their homes in Mill Valley and Southport Island, Maine where they belonged to the Southport Yacht Club. David enjoyed running (including carrying the Olympic torch), boating, gardening, building furniture and home projects. Besides his wife, David leaves behind his sister Melinda (Rick), nephew Doug (Susan) Fuller, niece Andi Fuller, niece Sharmon (Bill) Provan-Jacobs, a large in-law family and many cousins. A "Celebration of Life" was held June, 2012 at the Alpine Club. Do not mourn David. Instead take this time to sit on a hill, pour a glass of wine and toast to his wonderful life and friendship.
Be the first to share your memories or express your condolences in the Guest Book for David A. Leith.
