Obituary Condolences

Edward ("Ed") J. Sarti Died suddenly on July 24, 2014 at the age of 83 of an aneurysm. Ed lived in Novato, California with his best friend and wife of 48 years, Wanda Sarti. Ed was a native of New Jersey where he met Wanda. In the 1960's they were drawn to the opportunity and lifestyle of California where they built a business and a family together. Over the ensuing years their businesses would create and supply the colors for plastics that would define famous products such as Hobie, Clinique, Finesse, WD-40 and many others. Always itching to do something new Ed would also own other businesses including a grocery store and supply company. While he achieved great success in business it was his love of Wanda and family that brought him his greatest happiness. Ed is survived by Wanda, their three children Wanda Roberts and spouse James of Denton, Texas, Edward Sarti and spouse Michelle of Kentfield, California, and Cindy Platt and spouse Anthony of Leander Texas; nine grandchildren Robert, Heather, James, Sydney, Dalton, Edward, Roan, Gabriel and Evelyn; and, one great-grandchild, Laylee. Ed will also be missed by his three loyal and lovable golden retrievers Lady, Misty and Abbey. Ed was proud to serve as a Marine during the Korean War. The family will have a celebration of Ed's life on November 8, 2014 with the time and location in Marin County to be announced. Please forward any memorial donations to Point Blue Conservation Science in Petaluma, California.
