Emily K. Lubicz (ne Kiszczak) Passed away on January 2, 2013 in Novato, CA. She was 88 years old. Mrs. Lubicz was a survivorshe was raised in an orphanage in Poland and worked in a German slave labor camp during World War IIand a hero to her family and friends. She emigrated to Rochester, NY in 1951 where she raised two children and worked for General Motors for 30 years. In 1986 she moved to San Rafael, CA where she worked with special needs children for 20+ years. A scattering of her ashes at sea outside the Golden Gate Bridge occurred on February 7. She is survived by son Andrew Lubicz of Los Angeles, CA, daughter Basia Lubicz of Berkeley, CA, their spouses Issa and Tony, and three grandchildren, Alpha, Sam, and Elliott.
