Nancy E. Martin Passed away May 10, 2013. Born November 4, 1946 to Thomasina and William Martin in Chicago Ill. Nancy was a graduate of the University of Illinois and a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She held a Masters Degree in Gerontology from San Francisco State University. As a flight attendant with Trans International Airlines Nancy participated in the evacuation of U.S. troops from Vietnam in 1975. For the past twenty four years Nancy devoted herself to her responsibilities as Director of Marketing at the Tamalapais retirement community in Greenbrae. Her work touched the lives of many and she was loved and respected by residents and colleagues alike. She was an avid devotee of exercise and loved to hike the many trails of Marin. She was a voracious reader who read on a wide range of subjects and supported both literacy programs and libraries. Nancy was devoted to family, friends and the needy. She supported charitable causes from Alzheimer's to Wildcare. Her love of all creatures and kindness and warmth toward others were some of her greatest attributes. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family; her father Bill, husband Ray and beloved sister Susanne. Donations to honor her name may be made to Wildcare of San Rafael, Ca.
