HILLTOP LAKES, TX: Memorial services for Steve Milligan, 59, of Hilltop Lakes, TX. will be conducted Friday, January 17, 2014, at the Hilltop Lakes Chapel at 11:00 am. Dr. Tony Taylor, pastor, will officiate.

Steven Milligan was born in Marion, Ohio July 22, 1954 to Charles Milligan and Imogene (Brady) Milligan. He died suddenly on January 10, 2014 in Madisonville, Tx. He was a 1972 graduate of Harding High School and attended Ohio University. A Navy veteran, he served four years active duty and four years reserve. He also worked for Conrail Railroad before moving to Texas.

He received his law enforcement training at the University of Houston and federal law enforcement training in Little Rock, Ark. After serving as police officer in Houston from 1984-2007 he retired and moved to Hilltop Lakes, TX. where he served as a deputy with the Sheriff's Dept. from 2007-2012. At the time of his death he was serving as chief of the Normangee, TX. Police Dept.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Milligan.

Survivors include mother, Imogene Milligan; two sons, Brian and Chris Milligan; daughter Megan Milligan; sister Linda (Milligan) Brown; niece, Ashley Brown, nephew, Aron Brown.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Steven Milligan Benefit Fund at the Normangee, Tx. State Bank.
