MARSHALL — Paula Harrell Clark Hodges, 83, of Marshall, passed away May 10, 2013, in Longview, Texas. Funeral services for Mrs. Hodges will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at the Little Chapel by the Lake at Colonial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, with interment to follow, under the direction of Downs Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. today, May 12, 2013, at Downs Funeral Home.
Paula Harrell was born February 21, 1930, in Amarillo, Texas, to the parentage of Roy Nelson Harrell and Lola Jane Brown Harrell. She worked as a lineworker for Thikol for 13 years. She was a homemaker and member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was also a member of the Bunnie Mae Pugh Circle. She was also a member of the Tops Club of Marshall, Marshall Red Hat Society and Marshall Lady Elks Lodge
, where she served as a past president.
She was preceded in death by her parents; spouses, Rollie Clark and Roy Hodges; sister, Francis Jean Wash; brother, Tommy Joe Harrell; and special aunt, Red.
Survivors include her son, Randall R. (Teresa Janelle) Clark of Harleton; daughter, Ronda Clark (Beva "Bear Track") Ellis of Marshall; brother, Roy Wayne (Judy) Harrell of Marshall; sister-in-law, Linda Harrell of Marshall; seven grandchildren, Christina (David) Ham, Holli Adkins, Lindsey (Steven) Phelps, Clark (Carrie) Adkins, Bo (Deon) Ellis, Belew (Naomi) Ellis and Colleen (John) Oney. Also surviving Mrs. Hodges are 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her special friend, Ruth Moore of Marshall.
