Constance "Connie" C. (Weber) Schroepfer, 95 of Marshfield died peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Marshfield Care Center.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Tuesday, March 18th at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Fr. Eric Berns officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Webertown at a later date.

Family will receive relatives and friends from 10am Tuesday at the church until service time.

Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Connie was born on November 6, 1918 in Stratford to Laurie B. and Jennie (Hughes) Weber. She was united in marriage to Raymond J. Schroepfer on August 17, 1946 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford. Ray died on December 3, 1990.

As a young woman, Connie worked with Dr. F. C. Kroeplin in Stratford, accompanying him on home visits and assisting in various aspects of his practice. She was employed by Thorp Finance during the 1940s as a manager, a position generally not held by women at that time, and was recognized for her accomplishments in fiscal management. She was further employed throughout the years with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Lauby's Refrigeration in Marshfield and retired as a bookkeeper from House of Heating in Marshfield.

Connie volunteered with various groups throughout the years and held positions as a Leader of the Girl Scouts as well as bookkeeper and board member at the Senior Craft Shoppe in Marshfield. She was a devout member of the Stratford Ladies Auxillary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 6352, and was awarded a lifetime membership in 2012.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Mary K. (Bill) Stich of East Windsor, NJ and their children, Kimberly (Jason) Laaker and Kelly Stich; Lois A. Keel of Madison and children, Molly (Kyle) McMullin and Seth (Janet) Keel; Kristin C. Schroepfer of Wheaton, IL; Kerry E. Trudeau of Marshfield and son Eliot Trudeau; Vicki T. (Dave) Panske of Marshfield and children, Abby (Josh) Weinfurter and Brenna Panske; Lori J. (Andy) Weigel of Marshfield and children, Jake Weigel (girlfriend Summer Carmack) and Eileen (John Reinhart) Weigel; and five great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Mary Jane (Mae) Beining of Rozellville.

Besides her parents and husband Ray, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law Joseph Trudeau and her siblings, Madelyn Weber, Lawrence "Doug" Weber, Conway Weber, Ruby Weber and Kenneth Weber.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be designated in her name to the Stratford VFW or the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
