Bean, Glenn C.
Glenn C. Bean, 78, of Lake Tomahawk, WI, passed away at his home on Wednesday April 24, 2013. He was born in Stratford, WI, on October 26, 1934, to Helen (Schwickrath) and Charles William Bean. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1952 and joined the U.S. Army from 1953-1957. Glenn married Rose Marie Altmann on August 29, 1959 and graduated from NCTI in Wausau with an Associate Degree in Business in 1960. He was Office Manager at the Marshfield Brewing Co. from 1960-1966. He became the Manager of the Westview Country Club in 1966 until 1970. After co-owning the Tiki Club in Marshfield for 4 years he went to work as a salesman for Windy Hill Foliage and retired in 1997 as a dispatcher. Glenn and Rosie moved to Lake Tomahawk in 1997, where they owned and operated The Roseglen. Glenn became very active in the American Legion Post #318 and was a member of Holy Family Parish.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; sons, Charles (Jen) Bean of Eau Claire; Thomas (Lori) Bean of Marshfield; and daughter, Mary (Brandon) Brezany of Bangor, WI; six grandchildren, Jake, Matt, Sarah, Colten, Garrett and Sydney. He is further survived by brother, Harold Bean of Marathon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Neumann, Don and Bob.
