Mary was born November 16, 1924 to Howard and Mary Florence (Rowse) in Detroit, MI. After graduating high school Mary went on to graduate from Northwestern University in 1946 with a degree in Business Administration. She worked for many years as a legal/executive secretary for various companies in the Detroit Area, both before having children and after they were grown. On September 24, 1955 Mary was united in marriage to Eugene R. Boyer Jr. He preceded her in death in 1960.
Throughout her life Mary enjoyed dancing; from ballet, tap, and modern in her youth; to square dancing with her husband and even learning belly dancing while in her sixties! She loved to read, play cards, do crossword and jigsaw puzzles, baking and needle crafts of all types. She also enjoyed bowling for many years.
Mary is lovingly survived by her children: Howard (Sue) Boyer of Canton, MI, Ken Boyer of Big Bay, MI, and Julie (Anthony) Smith of Marshfield, WI; grandchildren: Andrew (Amy Geick) and Cara Boyer, Shea, Amanda, and Glen Boyer, and Brittany (Dustin Chamberlain) Conner and Joel (Nikki Bey) Smith. She is further survived by her precious great grandchildren: Madeline, Bailey, Isaiah and Devin. She will truly be missed.
