Alfred E. Benzo passed away peacefully at home on April 3, 2013. He was 94 years old. Alfred is survived by his loving wife, Madelyn, his daughter, Diane Gatto and Margaret Schrader. He is also survived by Grandchildren, Dianna (Adam), Amy, Robert, Nicholas and Danielle (Aaron); and Great-Grandchildren, Chance, Logan and Tyler. The family wishes to express their gratefulness to Al's devoted caregivers, Maryanne and Rachel, and to Hospice of the Valley. Alfred was a native Californian and served in
in the Pacific Campaign. He was a retired co-owner of PW Supermarkets. Al was preceded in death by daughter, Judy Rosenbaum, and was the brother of the late Eleanor Prandi, Florence Franco and Enes Mancuso. He was the son of the late Bernardo and Anna Benzo. Al is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and countless friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service Monday, April 8, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-ALAMEDA MISSION CHAPEL, 600 S. Second St, San Jose, with Visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church, 4600 Hyland Ave, San Jose. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
