Anthony Condos passed away peacefully at the Palo Alto VA on March 31, 2014. Tony was a loving husband for 57 years and is survived by his wife Elly, son James, son and daughter-in-law Steven and Guillermina, and grandchildren Elly, Danae, and Anthony.
Tony graduated from UCLA with a major in Chemistry, and soon after joined the Navy serving on a minesweeper during WWII. He began his career at Alcoa as a metallurgist, and later founded his own business, Felton Aluminum Co.
He met the love of his life, Elly, at a Greek dance in San Francisco. They married in 1954 and lived a full life together, traveling the world, and enjoying time with their grandchildren. His accomplishments include: President of the American Foundrymen's Society, President of the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce, President of the Santa Clara Rotary, and President of the Home and School Club. He was a member of the St. Claire Club, and member of the La Rinconada Country Club where he played golf with his friends.
Tony had a wonderful sense of humor, and his love for life was contagious. He will be missed by all who knew him. Friends and family are invited to the rosary at 5 pm on Friday, April 4th at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in San Jose. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 5th at St. Nicholas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 986 Chapman St., San Jose, CA 95126.
