Bahram Saghari Obituary
Bahram Saghari
Oct. 26, 1957 - Jan. 28, 2014
Resident of Los Gatos
Bahram Saghari, 56, of Los Gatos, passed away on January 28 due to complications from injuries sustained in a tragic biking accident that occurred almost 3 years ago.

Bahram was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. Even as a child he displayed a keen mind and love of learning, as evidenced by his skipping from third to seventh grade and graduating from high school at the age of fourteen. After attending The College of Computer Science in Tehran, he moved to the United States in 1978, where he finished his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Minnesota. While there he earned a masters degree in computer science. In January of 1984 he was recruited by Intel and moved to San Jose, CA. During his career he worked for a number of bay area companies including Sony, GTE, Fujitsu, Cadence and Oracle.
In conjunction with his industry career, Bahram also taught at Evergreen Valley, San Jose City and De Anza colleges, in addition to teaching at San Jose State University and Santa Clara University. During the last two years of his career, he taught full time at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business, in the Department of Operations and Management Information Systems.
He had boundless energy, a quick mind and a true excitement for life as evidenced by his uniquely varied interests in business, cycling, cooking, drawing, painting, origami, sewing, greeting card and fashion design.
Bahram is survived by his wife, daughters, parents and three sisters. His wife, Taban, was his pillar of strength and his two daughters, Shayan and Keon, are his greatest legacy. We honor his memory and are grateful for his time with us.
Those so inclined are invited to make a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area, where Bahram volunteered.
