Bernice Eileen Stuckey
March 29th, 1924 - May 8, 2013
Resident of San Jose
Eileen Stuckey, a long time resident of San Jose, passed away peacefully with family at her side on May 8th, 2013. Born on March 29th, 1924 in Bellflower, Ca, she was an exceptional mother who loved to sing, travel, and spend time with family.
Eileen had a beautiful voice and loved playing the piano with the family and was the best yodeler in town. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and would often take them to some fun spot in town or for a thrill seeking ride at Great America. Eileen was a home improvement master and was always tackling some sort of home project. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 643 since 1942. She was an amazing multi-talented woman, an example of love and kindness, who always cared for others, not only her family, but friends as well.
Eileen was the daughter of the late Walter and Florine Dooley and loving wife to the late Edgar "Rusty" Stuckey. Loving sister to: Gerald Dooley, the late Beatrice Fry, and Darlene Austin. Loving mother to: Vicki Betzner, Cheryl Caudill, the late Janis Keith, Shelley(John)Colianna, Marcelle Stuckey, and Brian Stuckey. Grandmother to: John Betzner, Steven Betzner, Michael Caudill, Daniel Caudill, Kimberly Keith, Gary Keith, Heidi Franklin, Kristopher Colianna, Brandi Colianna, Courtney Colianna, and Marty Tolliver. Great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren.
A special thank-you to the staff at Villa Fontana and Vitas Hospice for their loving care of Eileen. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Vitas Hospice, 670 N McCarthy Blvd Ste 220, Milpitas, Ca 95035.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on May 18th, 2013 at American Legion #99,1344 Dell Ave, Campbell, Ca 95008 from 11:00a.m.-4:00p.m.
