Eugene Bernard D'Amico 06/13/1922 - 11/18/2013 Resident of San Mateo On Nov. 18, our beloved Eugene Bernard D'Amico Sr. passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was preceded in death by parents Josephine and Bennie, son Eugene, Jr. and son-in-law Leo Lynch. Born in San Francisco, Gene grew up in the city's Marina District. Gene proudly served in the US Navy (Seabees) & was honorably discharged on 12/25/1945. Following retirement as a custodian for Ca¤ada College for 20 yrs., he continued to be active with the Italian Catholic Federation & Nocturnal Adoration Society of St. Matthews Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 67yrs (Nancy), daughter Marianne, son Steven (Yolonda), brothers Frank (Gertrude) & Ernest (Rose), grandsons Michael (Sheila), Matthew & Scott, great grandsons Brandon & Logan and many loving relatives. Visitation will be held at Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell's in San Mateo on Thursday Nov. 21, at 6:30pm, rosary at 7:30pm with a funeral mass at St. Matthew's Church on Friday, Nov. 22, at 10am.
