Floyd Ouye Obituary
Floyd Hiroto Ouye Resident of San Mateo 88, passed away on March 30, 2014 at his home in San Mateo, CA. Floyd was born on February 21, 1926 in Acampo, CA to Tomiichi and Yukino Ouye. He was a member of the 442nd Army and received the Congressional Medal of Honor. He worked for Rector Motor Car for over 45 years. He was a life-time member of the Michigan Masonic for 60 years. Floyd enjoyed traveling and being around family and friends. He is survived by his companion of 37 years, Dorothy Bennett of San Mateo; son, Alan of San Mateo; daughter Susan and her husband Cary Yamauchi, and their children Lauren and Darren of Foster City; two sisters, Esther Urakami of Lodi; Mary Ann Hamasaki of San Lorenzo; sister-in-law Toshi Ouye of San Mateo; sister-in-law Dorothy Hasegawa of Torrance; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Sally Sumiko, brother, James, two sisters, Mae Ikeda and Bessie Horita, and brother-in-law Bob Eshima. We will miss his warm smile and loving heart. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 12:00 pm at SNEIDER & SULLIVAN & O'CONNELL'SFUNERAL HOME (650) 343-1804
