Glyn entered into eternal rest on June 13, 2013 at his home in Rocklin, CA. Born in Sanford, Maine, he moved to the Bay Area in 1944. As a teenager he served in the U.S. Coast Guard before joining the Merchant Marines. He trained on the San Francisco Bay for 6 weeks, then was shipped to the Philippine Islands. In 1946, he was drafted into the army and serving in the Medical Corps, was sent to Korea as part of the Sixth Medical Battalion. After an honorable discharge, he moved to San Jose where he lived for 40 years. He retired from Moffett Field Air Force Base in Mountain View after 35 years of service in 1982. He then moved to Rocklin, CA. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, Sunnyvale #511 and San Jose Scottish Rite 32nd Degree. Glyn is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sandra, his three children, Carol (Walt), Don (Joanne), and Al, his 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He loved camping and fishing with his family, and his loving spirit will be deeply missed by all. To fulfill his wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers & in honor of his wife, the family respectfully requests that donations be sent to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation. www.alzinfo.org
