Resident of Milpitas
Born on October 18, 1921 at Wayne Station in San Jose. Henry was drafted into the Army and served in the 30th Division - 120th Old Hickory South Carolina. His Division was sent to England and served the Second Wave in Normandy. Due to his injury he received in Normandy, Henry earned the Purple Heart Medal. Henry met his first wife Kay Patricia Vanella. After her passing, Henry married Mabel Mattos. With Mabel, he enjoyed tilling the soil for his vegetables and tending to the Apricot trees. Henry is survived by his wife Mabel, sister Edith Lewis Walters; step-son James Mattos; several nieces.
Rosary will be held at Lima Family Cedar Lawn on Mon. at 6:00 pm. Funeral service to be held at St. Elizabeth Church in Milpitas on Tues at 10:00am. Following service Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery. Reception to follow at Embassy Suites in Milpitas.
