February 3, 1928 - June 27, 2013
Resident of San Carlos
Jack Lochrie, our beloved father passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2013 at the age of 85.
Although it is with such heavy heart we had to say goodbye, he now can be happy to rest at peace with the love of his life.
Our father led an amazing life. Born and raised in Boston, MA he joined the Marines at the age of 17 to catch the tail end of WWII. After serving our country, he hitchhiked across the US to San Francisco where he met Jean Zita Benassini. They were married in 1957 and planted their roots in San Carlos where they raised three loving children: Patty Sylvia, Kathleen Hadsell (Tim), Steven Lochrie (Colleen), and 5 grandchildren: Brandon Stevens, Shayna Sylvia, Kayla Hadsell, Amanda Hadsell, Nicholas Lochrie. He spent most of his free time on either the golf course or at the baseball field. He coached San Carlos Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball for over 30 years. He coached or touched the lives of every aspiring baseball player in San Carlos. Married to Jean, they almost made it to 50 years of marriage before her passing in 2007.
If you knew Jack, you knew him as a father, husband, friend, craftsman, and coach. His legacy of stories are imbedded in our minds and hearts repeatedly and will live on forever. He will be in our hearts always. He wanted to live to 100 years. Not quite, but there is always next time. We love and miss you Dad and Papa.
Services will be held July 19, at 11am at Saint Charles Church, 880 Tamarack, San Carlos.
