Ken Green passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2014. Ken was a loving and devoted husband for 62 years and is survived by his wife Norma, daughter Cindy Ruggiero (Michael), son Larry (Phyllis), son Tim (Suzanne), 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and his brother Raymond (Patrice).
While serving in the Army, Ken met the love of his life Norma, at a Katz Drugstore in Kansas City, MO. and they married eight weeks later on August 10th, 1951. They lived a full life, traveling and spending time with family and their many friends. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War.
Ken joined the Loyal Order of the Moose as a Charter Member of Campbell Lodge, #1811, from which he retired as Administrator in 1994. He was bestowed the highest degree of the Order, that of the Pilgrim Degree of Merit.
As a native Californian, he was an avid bay area sports fan, especially of the Oakland A's.
Private interment will be held for family. A Memorial Service of Tribute will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 2:00 pm at the Sunnyvale Moose Lodge, 905 Kifer Road, Sunnyvale. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Santa Clara Kaiser Hospice or to Moose Charities in his memory.
