Leonard T. Quieto
March 22, 1919-Sept. 5, 2013
Resident of Santa Clara
Leonard entered into the joy of the Lord peacefully and without pain after a brief illness. A Naval veteran of WWII, he was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries received during rescue operations. A carpenter by training, he built the house in which he and his family lived. He was a dedicated volunteer in the Santa Clara Bird Club and at Our Lady of Peace. Leonard is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 69 years, Delilah Quieto and his son Mark, both of whom he now rejoins. He is survived by his sister Gert Fernandes (Tony), granchildren,Michael Quieto and Lisa Colliss (Joe), his great-granddaughter Caitlyn and many nieces and nephews. A Vigil will be held Mon. Sept. 9 at 7pm, with visitation 6 to 9pm at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N Winchester Blvd. Funeral Mass Tues. at 9:30am at Our Lady of Peace, 2800 Mission College Blvd. in Santa Clara; burial to follow in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
