The first time I met Rodney was at my parent's farm in Clifton Virginia, he along with is Mom and Grandmother Olson came to look at a horse. That horse was Seabert's Eagle she was Rodney first.
That first encounter was a lasting relationship between our families, my parents Merle & Ellen Wood are both gone, as is my younger sister Beverly.
Rodney was a member of our family we spent a lot of time together, Rodney was our younger brother I have so many wonderful memories. The time he had no clean clothes and wore a pair of my dad's overalls, home. After many years in Virginia our family moved to Kansas thus Rodney and his Mom moved to Arizona this did not change our relationship, we still made time, my parents where always so proud of Rodney accomplishments in the Quarter Horse Industry. As time went on, with weddings and children, Rodney never forgot he always had time for the Wood Family.
Rodney holds a special place in my heart. I know Rodney right up there talking horses with my Dad.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Our heartfelt, deepest sympathy goes out to you all. We are so happy to have shared so many fun times with your family over the years. Skiing, "horse talk", graduations, Hannah's visit to NH. We shall remember Rodney's kindness to us. We love you and know that Rodney is now our guardian angel in heaven.
