Thomas O'Day passed away at age 84. Beloved husband to Doris (Pfeiffer) for 56 years (deceased) and loving father of Tom Jr., Dan (Kaydene), Terry (Terry Ann), Maureen Chojnacki (Michael), Kevin and Peggy. Grandfather of Alicia, Ryan, Becky, Shawna, Erin, Brian, Peter, Andrew, Amanda and Alex. Great-Grandfather of Kayla, Lauren, Brody, Samantha, Paulina, Matthew and Sophia.
Tom was born in San Francisco to Edward and Alicia O'Day, both natives of San Francisco. He is predeceased by his parents and older brother John "Jack" O'Day. Tom attended St. Monica's Grammar School, St. Ignatius College Preparatory, University of San Francisco and USF Law School. Tom and Doris were married in January 1951. Tom worked nights as a police officer for the City of San Francisco while attending law school. In 1954, Tom and Doris moved to the Almaden Valley in San Jose. They built a home on Graystone Lane on the Pfeiffer family ranch. Tom established his law office in downtown San Jose and worked as a sole practitioner for 36 years.
Tom enjoyed life, and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He touched many people throughout his life and will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.
