In loving Memory of Winston W. Reed, a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge in WWII, he has departed us to fight for the lord. Winston passed on March 30, 2014 at Kaiser Hospital. Winston proceeds his wife Beverly L. Reed who passed on June 5, 2009.
Winston entered into life on February 25. 1924 in MacColm County Oklahoma. He completed his schooling in Tulare County in May 1941 and worked as a laborer until he was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1943 for WWII. Winston served in the European theater of WWII at the Battle of the Bulge, Battle of Rhine, and Battle of Remagen as a Tech Sgt. with the 134th AAA Gun Battalion. Winston completed his tour and returned home to Dinuba in January 1946.
Winston met and married Beverly on February 9, 1947. Winston and Beverly raised two children; Jerry B. Reed and Judy R. Campbell. Winston retired from Lockheed in 1983 and set up permanent residence in Fresno. Winston's Bert Reed and Frank Reed are still with us and reside in Ca.
Winston is survived by his children Jerry Reed and his wife Debbie of Garberville, Ca and Judy Campbell and her husband Robert of Blythe, Ca; Seven grandchildren Erica Hope, Dustin Hope, Kyle Hope, Danielle Moffitt, Jazmine Reed, James Campbell, and Jessica Hartman; great grandchildren Buddie Hope, Robert Hope, Kaydance Hope, Izzabella Hope, Aldric Moffitt, William Hope, Ryan and Hailey Campbell, and Abbygail and Addalynn Hartman.
A graveside service will be held at Smith Mountain Cemetery in Dinuba, Ca on April 5, 2014 at 10:00 AM.
