Mr. Philip Blake, age 82, of Framingham, entered into rest on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Morris and Anna (Fishbane) Blake. He was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and Northeastern University, where he received a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering. He served as an officer in the United States Armys 32nd Signal Battalion in Darmstadt, Germany in the mid-1950s. He made a career for 30 years as a marketing communications specialist with startup entrepreneurships in the high technology sector in Massachusetts. He leaves one daughter, Dede Blake-Johnson and her husband Greg of Worcester; one son, David Blake and his wife Mary of Vienna, VA; five grandchildren, Jeremy and Ben Blake-Johnson and Catherine, Maddie and Chris Blake. He also leaves his former wife, Joan Gay. He was the brother of the late Louis Harvey Blake. Services at the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St. SALEM on Thursday at 11:00AM. Interment following at Anshai Sfard Cemetery in Danvers. Memorial Observance following the interment at the home of Joan and Bill Gay until 8PM and on Friday from 1PM until sundown.
