Robert F. "Freddy" Chisholm, a resident of Framingham since 1958, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at MetroWest Medical Center follow a brief illness. He was 80 years of age and the husband for 59 years of Phyllis (Lembo) Chisholm. A member of St. Anselm Parish in Sudbury, Mr. Chisholm was a retired carpenter. Born in Boston April 21, 1933, he was the son of the late Charles and Josephine (Burns) Chisholm. He was raised and educated in Watertown and was a graduate of Newton Technical High School and served in the United States Marine Corps in the Korean War. Mr. Chisholm was married in 1957 and he and his wife settled in Framingham to raise their family. He loved to play golf and enjoyed gardening, landscaping and woodworking. He was a 54 year member of the Carpenter's Union, Local 475, and the Teamster's Union. In addition to his wife, Phyllis, he leaves his daughter, Carolyn Chisholm of North Uxbridge and his son, Christopher Chisholm of Ossipee, New Hampshire. He is also survived by two sisters, Marie Twomey of Waltham and Edna Clarke of Londonderry, New Hampshire as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tues., Jan. 14 from 2:00 to 5 pm at the Duckett-J.S.Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Rd., Rt. 20, Sudbury, with a closing prayer service at 5:00 o'clock officiated by his nephew, Reverend Dan Twomey.
