Winslow "Bruce" Krueger, Jr., of Framingham, died peacefully on June 11, 2014. He was married to his wife Diane (Roche) Krueger for fifty-one years. He was the son of the late Winslow and Doris (Cleveland) Krueger. Bruce was born on Feb. 26, 1933 and grew up in Westborough, MA. He attended the University of Maine, Orono, was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and graduated with a BS in Geology in 1954. He worked for a short time in the Maine Geological Survey before joining the Air Force in 1955, serving as a Sergeant and Weather Officer. He then enrolled in the management training program at Star Market Company and ultimately retired as President in 1986 after more than 25 years of service. Notably, Bruce was the first manager of the well-known Newtonville Star that bridges the Mass. Turnpike. Bruce was a resident of Framingham for nearly 50 years. He is survived by his wife and their four children: Charles Krueger husband of Sonia Taktak, Ann Connor wife of Ed, Mary Krueger wife of Matthew Pincus and Susan Pettibone wife of Michael; his five grandchildren: Amanda, Kevin, Joseph, Nicole and Lilah, and his sister: Laura-Jane Schwartz wife of John. Visiting hours are Sunday June 15 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday June 16 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bridget's Church, 830 Worcester Rd., (rte. 9 eastbound) Framingham Centre.
