Kathleen (OConnor) Allegrezza, age 84 of East Falmouth, MA died suddenly Dec. 1, 2013 at Falmouth Hospital with her husband at her side. Kathleen was born in Cranston, RI and was the youngest of three children of Charles and Mary OConnor. She was a 1946 graduate of Cranston high School and attended secretarial school. She worked for Narragansett Electric until her marriage in May of 1954 to Nello Allegrezza, whom shed met skiing in New Hampshire. They settled in Milford where they raised their family. When her children were older, she worked as a teachers aide at Memorial Elementary School in Milford and later as a medical secretary. She was active in Community Chorus, performing in music shows for years. Kathleen deep love of the beach and family vacations on Cape Cod eventually led to their building a summer home in Falmouth, where she and Nello settled permanently after his retirement in 1991. In addition to her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Kathleen leaves behind her son John and his wife April of Westwood, her daughter Christina of Boston, her son Damian of Millis her son in law Dan of Millis, five grandchildren Nicholas, Lucas, Molly, Jonathan and Matthew, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter Patricia, grandson Patrick and brothers Charles and William. Kathleen loved to be on the go. She was a social and active woman who enjoyed memberships in ST. Anthonys Couples Club, the Encore Group, a knitting circle and weekly Mahjong games. She swam regularly with her breast cancer survivor group. Kathleen leaves behind many dear friends whose company she cherished. Visiting Hours will be Thursday Dec. 5, from 4-7 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 475 Main ST. (Rt. 28) Falmouth Center. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday Dec. 6, at St. Anthonys Church 167 E. Falmouth Hwy. East Falmouth, MA. Burial will follow at St. Anthonys Cemetery.
