Lawrence A. Caouette, 65, formerly of Pembroke and Northbridge, died suddenly Friday, July 11, 2014, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Dunlavey; two daughters, Renee E. Caouette, and her companion, Dustin Neece, of Southborough, and Nicole D. Caouette, and her companion, Alex Pvsener, of Norwell; his mother, Dorothy Gniadek, of Northbridge; a brother, Ronald L. Caouette, of Northbridge; three sisters, Sandra Bousquet, and her husband, Richard, of Gorham, ME, Edna C. Stefaniak, of Whitinsville, and Alison F. Culley, and her husband, Gary, of Pegram, TN; and many nieces and nephews he was very close to. He was predeceased by a sister, Lilly May Abyss. Mr. Caouette was born in Northbridge, October 17, 1948, a son of the late Lawrence A. Caouette, Sr. He grew up in Northbridge, and lived in Pembroke for many years before moving to Cape Cod in 2006. He was a 1965 graduate of Northbridge High School, and was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. As a Master Electrician, Larry was a proud member of IBEW Local #103 before retiring in 2006. A man with a strong religious faith, Mr. Caouette attended Saint Anthony's Church in East Falmouth. Larry was a devoted husband and father. His credo was, "Life is good". He was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, sudoko, words with friends, and spending time at his vacation home in Florida. He recently completed a 39 mile walk to support the Avon Breast Cancer Fund. Mr. Caouette's Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, July 16, in Saint Patrick's Church in Whitinsville. Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery, Hopedale. Calling Hours will be 5-8 PM, Tuesday, July 15, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville.
