Anthony E. Azevedo
May 13, 1934 - August 26, 2014
Anthony E. Azevedo, age 80, entered into rest on August 26, 2014 in Manteca California.  He was born on May 13, 1934 in French Camp California to the late Ermel and Antoinette Azevedo. He was the youngest of 3 children.
Anthony grew up in the Mossdale area where he helped with the family Dairy. From there he and his family moved to Manteca where he was a resident for over 60 years.
He was called to duty by his country and served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 where he earned the rank of Sergeant while stationed in Germany.
Anthony enjoyed watching Football and was a 49er fan true and through. He loved a good game of checkers and always enjoyed casting a line at his favorite fishing holes.
Anthony owned and operated his own dairy most of his life. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Manteca and was a member of the Portuguese Hall where he enjoyed the festa and a good bowl of sopas followed by a handful of Monkey Beans. In his younger years he was very active in the 4H and the Future Farmers of America. Anthony had a contagious laugh and a love for a good joke. The most important things in life to Anthony were his family and friends and his faith in the Lord.
Anthony is also preceded in death by his sisters Anne Mary Gerber of Stockton and Rose Swederosky of Clovis.
Anthony is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
