Carolyn Dick was born in Fairmont, Minnesota to Carl and Josephine Anderson on July 15th, 1927.  Carolyn passed from this world peacefully, with Bible in hand, on February 2nd, 2014.  Carolyn attended school in Fairmont, Minnesota where she developed friendships with her "Golden Girls," friends that lasted her entire life.  She attended Miss Woods School for teachers where she began her teaching career.
Carolyn married Abraham Dick on June 26th, 1949.  They moved from Minnesota to Arizona, and on to California while expanding their family to include four boys.  After coming to Modesto in 1960, Carolyn began a 30 year tenure at Hart Ransom.  Her love for the kids and staff endured for years.  Church family, and RV traveling to Windmill Club events with Abe filled their retirement years.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Abe, sons: Roger (Diane), Tom (Maureen), David (Nancy), Steven (Ellyn); 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Tranquility Living and Hospice for their compassionate care in Carolyn's final years.  Services will be held at Oakdale Community Church (corner of 8th and D) on Saturday, February 8th, 2014 at 10:30 AM.  In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to honor hospice and their commitment to our community.
