D. Doyle Chamberlain
January 24, 1928 - May 31, 2014
Our loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, caring friend and beloved husband, David Doyle Chamberlain, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 31, 2014, after a 10 day courageous battle with multiple health problems.
He was born in Colcord, Oklahoma, to Tessie and John Chamberlain.  He lived and farmed with his family until graduating from Colcord High School.  He briefly served in the U.S. Navy receiving a medical discharge.  After returning to Oklahoma for a short stay, he moved to Northern California.
In 1948, he met the love of his life, Frances Jackson.  They were married on May 10, 1949.
They purchased and operated a small country store east of Hughson for a couple of years before moving to Modesto.  Dad went to work delivering milk for College Dairy which later became Milk Producers.  A few years afterward, he was employed by Foster Farms until he retired after 41 years of home delivery.  Following his retirement, he volunteered for the Service League at Doctors Medical Center.  He proudly volunteered for approximately 18 years.  He was a member of the Old Time Fiddler's Club and enjoyed attending programs with his brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Frances, and his 3 children; Sheryl, Gary (Debbie) and Karen Chamberlain, all of Modesto.  He is also survived by his siblings; Reva Pochelle, Jean and Carl Chamberlain; 1 granddaughter, Miranda; 8 nephews and 7 nieces.  He was preceeded in death by his baby daughter, Janice, and his parents.
