Dennie "Shorty" J. Randall
Oct. 1, 1916-July 28, 2014
Dennie "Shorty" Randall passed away peacefully on July 28, 2014, at the age of 97.  Dennie John Randall was born on October 1, 1916 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  He was preceded in death by his Mother, Fay T. Randall and Father, Dennis F. Randall. He served in the United States Army from 1941 to 1945 in the 757th Field Artillery Battalion where he was awarded an American Defense Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star. He was a member of the VFW.  Dennie was survived by  his children, Karen Yancey of Guthrie, OK., Robert Randall of Ripon, CA., Denise Lewis of Bakersfield, CA., and Douglas Randall of Anderson, CA.; his grandchildren, Tia Yancey, Tara Yancey, Aaron Keylon, Robert Randall Jr., Aimee Buss, Dennis Randall, Kimberly Randall; and 10 great-grandchildren.  Dennie was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. Dennie retired from Goodwill Industries in 1982 were he was a dispatcher.   
The family would like to thank all the staff at Manteca Care and Rehab who cared for him the last years of his life. A special thanks to Rolando and staff. Services will be private. Remembrances can be made to the or Stanford Children's Hospital. For condolences to the family please visit
