George William Amorin Sr.

George William Amorin Sr., 69 of Newman passed away Thursday at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Mr. Amorin was born in Fall River, MA and was a resident of Newman for 62 years. He was a Welder and Blacksmith at Newman Flange Co. for 36 years and was a U.S. Navy Vietnam war Veteran. He was a parishioner at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Newman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and Blackoak.
Mr. Amorin is survived by his wife, Barbara Amorin; son, George (Jami) Amorin Jr.; daughter, Kim (Chris) Mendonca all of Newman; sisters, Beattie Hall of Livermore, Nancy Pope of Riverbank; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, October 2nd followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Newman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am , Thursday, October 3rd at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Newman. Interment to follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery.
