MAY 14, 1953 - NOV 6, 2013
Loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and loyal friend to many. John passed away at home, after he moved from San Jose to Modesto 5 years ago to be closer to his cherished father John Sr.  John served in Vietnam and was awarded 2 medals, although this is something he never talked about. He came home from the war, but left a piece of his heart behind. After many struggles, John dedicated his life to helping those in need. A lifelong VFW Chapter member never forgetting those left behind and always valued every person he met. A member of Narcotics Anonymous for many years. John answered every phone call no matter what, for the slight chance someone needed him, and many did.
He leaves behind countless loved ones who he touched and is survived by his father, John E. Dovolis; daughter, Christine; 2 granddaughters; 2 siblings, 3 nieces & 1 nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother June Dovolis, and son John Dovolis, Jr.
John loved life and lived it to the fullest. We invite anyone with a desire to join us for a Celebration of Life that will be held on Sun., Nov. 17th at 2:00pm at 1320 L St., Modesto, CA. (Corner 14th & L St.)
