Justin Alexander Traina

Justin Alexander Traina, 93 of Patterson passed away Friday, August 1st.
Mr. Traina was born in San Jose and moved to Patterson in 1957 where he was a farmer and a Real Estate Broker for over 60 years in Patterson and became an agricultural and real estate patriarch in the community. He served as a US Army Front Line Medic in World War II serving under General Patton and was awarded two bronze stars, the gold conduct medal, the Purple Heart, American Theatre Campaign Ribbon and European African Middle Eastern Theatre Campaign Ribbon. He was with the 276th infantry and 70th division, the first infantry to cross the Rhine River and occupy Berlin. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson, a past board member of the Patterson Irrigation District and Apricot Producers. He was a loving father and grandfather who brought love and laughter to all the lives he touched.
Mr. Traina is survived by Josephine Traina of Patterson; sons, Joseph Traina of Oakdale and Willie Traina of Patterson; daughters, Melinda Foster of Turlock, Mary Sexton of Fresno and Victoria Polatnick of San Francisco; brother, Levio Traina of San Jose; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and his longtime companion, Patti Dunn of Patterson; He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Staton; sisters, Marion Martini and Josephine Pyne and brother, Anthony Traina.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm, Thursday, August 7th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, August 8th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. Interment to follow at Patterson District Cemetery in Patterson.

Justin was a charismatic and a loyal friend to all. Simply put he was the Frank Sinatra of Patterson. What he appreciated most in life was farming, family, laughter and great food.
